Anyone using this?

Aug 20, 2009 at 8:17 PM

There is not much activity on this site. I see great advantages of this approach for developing vertain elements within SharePoint (especially complex forms). Is there anyone using this code in real life?

I was trying to get this to work properly on my Win7 dev box with IIS7 but could never get it to work correctly and since there seems to be so little activity / support around this project its hard to troubleshoot it along with others.  Another developer friend of mine was also trying to get this to work and ran into the following post -> http://sd-interestingone.blogspot.com/2009/01/how-to-host-aspnet-mvc-site-under.html and linked it to me to see if that would get us any closer and I'm reviewing that one atm.

Hey

Re: Is anyone using this code.

I worked on a project while back that used an earlier version of this. The project here is distilled version of that project combined with knowledge from http://www.codeplex.com/site/users/view/RaymartinsHair.

As for is anyone else using it?? It is hard to tell. It has had a few blog posts about it
http://blogs.msdn.com/tom/archive/2009/03/17/asp-net-mvc-and-sharepoint.aspx
http://techsavygal.wordpress.com/2009/03/17/sharepoint-and-aspnet-mvc/

According to the stats we have had 900 downloads which is an average of 3 a day.

Re: not much activity on this site

I am not currently working on a sharepoint project and as such the code here has not been evolving.

I have only been keeping the code up to date. For example upgrading to MVC RC in Feb and MVC 1.0 in April

If you have suggestion, contributions or criticisms I am more than happy to take them on board. just submit a patch.
